Facilities
Stabling
More Than Livery offers spacious boxes in a quiet yard with 24 hour supervision,
conveniently located between Faringdon and Burford.
Turnout
Turnout is available all year round – although not many horses enjoy standing in a field in the pouring rain.
The paddocks are securely fenced with a combination of post/rail/electric –
there are no gateways directly on to the road and therefore safety and security is easily provided.
Tack-rooms
We have secure tack-rooms, separate warm and dry rug-room. Tack-rooms are fully alarmed.
Club room
This is our retreat when the weather turns bad, or just a place to sit, chat and
enjoy some refreshment during the rest of the year.
A notice board is kept up to date with local events,
competitions, tack-sales etc, and of course, yard birthdays.
In addition, the club-room doubles up as a classroom and is equipped with TV and video.
Outdoor school
We have a floodlit outdoor school. 20m x 60m Sand and fibre surface. New construction by Williams and Williams.
Jumps
A good collection of show-jumps (including some fantastic “scary” fillers – created and decorated by Vicki).
Good range of show jumps and cross country type fillers for practice ranging from 2ft to 3ft 6in plus.
Dressage
A set of white dressage boards, to re-create the competition atmosphere at home. Can be put on the grass or arena for test practice.
Location

Influences
Dressage training began with a classical theme - Nuno Oliveira - read books,
then luck enough to train with
one of his leading pupils - Philippe Davenport. At that time very much an event rider,
but Dressage was one of our strengths.
- Quickly developed a keen interest in the overall training of Dressage to Grand Prix.
- Following 10 years in eventing, I spent 13 years working for Barry Hills (flat racing),
8 years as Head Lad involved in breaking all the young race horses.
- From those experiences I developed a way of working, involving many areas of horsemanship, which allows me
to work with all types of horses and find the best solution to the problems or key to their training.
- I spent a lot of time studying various trainers from abroad when they visit for seminars in this country.
Recently, Hubertus Schmidt, Jean Bemmelmans,
and trainers in this country, Ferdi Eilberg, Carl Hester and my own trainer at the moment, Adam Kemp.
Have also trained with one of the top internaltional judges, David Trott.
Pilates
Becoming increasingly interested in Pilates as a way of learning how the body works and
the use of various muscles can help to convey the feel riders need to develop. I have weekly
Pilates classes myself to help with my own riding and as a new dimension to my teaching for other riders.
